Since I was already on the road a lot for the company before my current China assignments, including already in China, there were no reasons to decide against the offer. In this position I saw a personal challenge and opportunity for my future and I definitely did not regret the decision.

In the beginning it was not so easy - language barrier since only few people speak English in China - but over time you learn the vocabulary you need to “survive” and also know where to meet western people outside of work with whom you can talk , The on-site team also contributed a lot to making me feel comfortable and able to work in a good atmosphere on my travels.
